WEIGHT LOSS AFTER PREGNANCY

Weight Loss After Pregnancy
By Fra Gunn

It is to be expected after pregnancy that your body will have some left-over fat, and while most new mothers want to
get rid of unwanted fat and cellulite as soon as possible, this can be easier said than done.
A newborn baby ends up taking so much time and attention that the last thing you may feel like you have room for in your schedule is a diet and exercise routine to lose weight. However, as you will see, the added time pressure will not prevent you from getting rid of the extra pounds as long as you do it right and have the right mindset.

Below are three easy tips that you can start using right away to begin losing post-pregnancy pounds:

1. Avoid junk food: Cravings can be difficult to avoid, especially if you are under stress and not getting enough sleep, but this one step is one of the most crucial things you can do to start losing weight and avoid putting any more on. Not only does junk food prevent you from losing weight, but it can sap your energy levels, clog your digestive system, and introduce toxins into your body that are difficult to get rid of.

At the same time, you do not have to starve yourself – small, frequent meals are better for you anyway, so you need not go any more than three hours or so without food. Just make sure that you are making good nutritional choices like lean protein, complex carbohydrates and fiber, and avoiding sugar and refined carbs.

2. Work out: Keep in mind that "working out" does not necessarily mean you have to plan trips to the gym or buy expensive exercise equipment. Instead, you can simply try to take a 20 to 30-minute jog four or five days a week, whenever you find time. Even three times a week will give you a lot of benefits. When combined with a healthy diet, simple jogging will give you visible results in a matter of weeks, and you will begin to find yourself more energetic and better able to face the challenges of the day.

3. Maintaining a positive outlook: Having a positive attitude can be the difference between success and failure if you are trying to lose weight, a goal that takes more will-power than just about anything else for most people. If you can find ways of staying motivated, it will help your progress. Try keeping a weight-loss journal with a pre-pregnancy picture of yourself and track your progress by weighing yourself and taking a progress photograph weekly (or maybe once] every two weeks in the very beginning). As you begin to see visible results, you will feel good about continuing.

Weight Loss After Pregnancy

Home massage is a great form of relaxation and therapy, as well as an effective treatment for many aches and pains, and it is a good idea to include it in your pregnancy routine from early on.  Make sure that you do so safely, and that you stop if you notice any adverse or worrying effects and it should be a great way to relax and enjoy your pregnancy more.

OVARIAN CYSTS AND HOW THEY ARE LINKED TO FEMALE INFERTILITY

OVARIAN CYSTS

Editorial Comment: Ovarian Cysts can grow to soccer ball size if left unchecked. I know, not a visually pleasant. As the picture shows Ovarian Cysts can take over and ruin her good nature just by their size.

Ovarian Cysts and How are they Linked with Female Infertility?

The ovaries are part of the female reproductive system and are the organ in which eggs or ova (from the latin for egg) are made. A female has two ovaries, one on each side of the uterus or womb. Each ovary is about the size of a walnut, and every month one of the ovaries produces an egg, which, if fertilized, becomes an embryo, and then a fetus.

Ovarian cysts occur when fluid filled sacs (cysts) form on the ovary. They develop when a follicle within the ovary attempts to release an egg, but fails. In these circumstances, a fluid filled sac remains in place of the egg. Usually, the ovarian cyst will dissipate by itself, but occasionally it will remain and grow or multiply.

OVARIAN CYSTS-50 Plus?

Women of child bearing age are most likely to suffer from ovarian cysts. However, they can affect any woman at any time of her life. Factors and conditions that may increase the likelihood of developing (or may accompany) ovarian cysts include

    suffering previously from ovarian cysts,
    irregular menstrual cycles,
starting menstruation from a very young age (11-years-old or younger),
    hormonal imbalances,
    some breast cancer medications,
    and infertility.

Ovarian cysts are rarely cancerous and tend not to become malignant, but they can create other problems for women. Symptoms are not often present or are ignored by a sufferer, and the cysts are generally discovered during medical examination or ultra sound performed for other reasons. However, symptoms do exist in some cases, such as

    lower abdominal and pelvic pain,
    irregular periods,
bloating in the lower stomach and pelvic regions of the abdomen,
pain in the pelvis, lower back and stomach during menstruation,
    pelvic pain after exercise,
pelvic pain during and after sexual intercourse,
pain or discomfort and problems when urinating or defecation,
    nausea and sickness,
    blood spotting between periods,
    vaginal pain,

OVARIAN CYSTS-Relationships

The relationship between suffering from ovarian cysts and infertility is questionable. It can be confusing as to whether the ovarian cysts cause infertility or infertility causes the ovarian cysts.

Most ovarian cysts will disappear naturally, but depending on the size and frequency with which the condition affects the sufferer, other treatments are available.

Painkillers should be used to relieve the pain, and the oral contraceptive pill tends to prevent the condition from forming by stopping the ovaries from releasing an egg.

When a cyst is of a certain size, and if it is causing discomfort to the patient, or other complications, it can be surgically removed.

OVARIAN CYSTS-Types

There are several types of ovarian cyst, but arguably the most fascinating is the dermoid cyst of the ovary. These cysts often have teeth, hair, bone, thyroid, and their own blood supply! It has been suggested, usually by unreliable sources, that these cysts are the remnants of a child the patient was carrying, or even the remnants of a twin of a child that has already been born.

WHAT IS PCOS AND HOW DOES IT AFFECT FEMALE FERTILITY

PCOS

Editorial Comment:
PCOS sounds like a college. In really a real disease that effects thousands of woman in their quest to start a family.
I dare say a lot of people have not herd of this condition and it is treatable. Getting the word out about this diseases very important for woman looking for answers to your fertility questions.

PCOS and How does it Affect Female Fertility?

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a female reproductive disease that is related to the secretion and presence of certain hormones in the female body, which in turn cause certain body function complications. A PCOS sufferer tends to have too many androgens (male hormones) in the body, which leads to various different and occasionally traumatic symptoms. There is also an increased level of luteinizing hormone (LH), which is a hormone secreted by the pituitary gland that stimulates ovulation. The excess of these hormones causes problems with the ovulation process.

 PCOS-Ovulation?

What basically happens is that, when one of the ovaries is supposed to rupture and release an egg for fertilization, it fails to do so. In short, a woman with PCOS does not ovulate. The rupture on the ovary where the egg should have been released becomes a fluid filled sac, and it is this fluid filled sac that is referred to as a cyst. This happens month after month, and no eggs are released. A number of cysts then develop, which is why the condition begins with "poly", a prefix meaning more than one.

 PCOS-Scary Shit

The symptoms of polycystic ovary syndrome can be devastating. They can include irregular periods (or none at all), acne, excessive hair growth (often on the face and chest due to the increased presence of male hormones), weight gain, high blood pressure, diabetes, and even heart disease. The lack of regular periods experienced by a woman with PCOS can cause an increased risk of cancer of one of the reproductive organs, particularly the endometrius and uterus. Infertility can also occur. The irregular periods and lack of ovulation (a condition known as anovulation) make conception extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Although a definitive cure has not been found for PCOS, there are several treatments that have had varying degrees of success with different patients. The actual cause of PCOS is not yet known, and until it is, it is doubtful that a cure will be found.

 PCOS-There Are Meds

A lot of the health issues associated with PCOS and listed above (such as diabetes and heart disease) can be avoided and controlled to some degree by exercise and a healthy diet. Medication can be used to force ovulation for women who wish to get pregnant. The ovulation helps to reduce the risk of the sufferer developing cancer. Many PCOS sufferers have become pregnant on receipt of this medication, although it is not a cure for PCOS.
Certain medications can also be used to successfully control the excessive hair growth, while a type of surgery, whereby a piece of the ovary is removed (called a wedge restriction), has been proven to help alleviate symptoms in some sufferers. As such, despite the fact that there is no definitive cure, there are treatments and hope for sufferers of PCOS and the potential to become pregnant naturally.

HOW DOES A WOMAN FERTILITY CHANGE WITH AGE?

Woman Fertility
Editorial Comment: Pregnancy Miracle is giving much needed hope to those women looking for other less costly ways for their family dreams of children.

 Woman Fertility

It is medically proven in Women Fertility that the best time for a woman to bear children is between the ages of 20 and 35. By the age of 20, most women have reached full physiological and sexual maturity, and after 35, their fertility decreases and the physical problems associated with being an older mother increase rapidly. Within this age bracket is an optimum age for a woman to become pregnant. Many authorities would agree that this is between the ages of 22 to 26. Fertility generally tends to decline after the age of 30.

Woman Fertility-Numbers Game

Women are born with a certain number of eggs, which were created when they were still a fetus. The number of eggs diminishes as women use up one or more eggs during their monthly (or thereabouts) ovulation. Also, due to the long incubation period of these eggs (they have been present since fetal development), they lose their quality as a woman gets older. A typical 30-year-old woman has 12% of the ovarian reserve she was born with, and has only 3% of ovarian reserve at age 40.

Woman Fertility-Societies Pressure

It has become increasingly common for many women to postpone pregnancy due to financial, vocational or relationship-related constraints. This has created a rise in woman wanting to get pregnant in their 30s and 40s, when they are less able to conceive. Consequently, infertility appears to be on the increase.

As a female gets older, her ability to conceive is reduced greatly because of the reasons stated above. The following statistics of women trying to get pregnant without using fertility drugs or in vitro fertilization support this notion:

At 30-years-old, about 75% will get pregnant within one year, and 91% within four years.
At 35-years-old, about 66% will get pregnant within one year, and 84% within four years.
At 40-years-old, about 44% will get pregnant within one year, and 64% within four years.

Other claims on female infertility differ slightly in numbers. However, they continue to support the notion that a woman's fertility decreases as she gets older:

At 35-years-old, about 94 out of every 100 who have regular unprotected sexual intercourse will get pregnant after 3 years of trying.
At 38-years-old, about 77 out of every 100 will get pregnant after 3 years of trying.

The above figures are for pregnancies ending in a live birth.

About 9% of recognized pregnancies for women aged 20 to 24 end in miscarriage.
About 20% at age 35 to 39 end in miscarriage.
More than 50% by age 42 end in miscarriage.

So not only does a woman's chance of conceiving decrease with age, but so does her ability to carry a pregnancy full-term.

Woman Fertility-Way to go?

The use of fertility drugs and/or in vitro fertilization can increase the chances of becoming pregnant at a later age. Successful pregnancies facilitated by fertility treatment have been documented in women as old as 67. This does lead to certain ethical questions.

Doctors recommend that women over 30 who have been unsuccessful in trying to conceive for more than six months undergo some kind of fertility testing, as they fall into the age where fertility decreases. Ascertaining the reason as to why the woman hasn't conceived is conducive to the commencement or continued progress of their treatment.

HOW TO GET PREGNANT NATURALLY

how to get pregnant naturally
How to get pregnant naturally
Infertility may be broadly defined as the inability to get pregnant after trying for at least one year without using any birth control. In Western countries, infertility affects an estimated 15% of the population. While a part of them are trying to conceive using alternative methods like IVF, others prefer to optimize the chances of getting pregnant naturally. How to get pregnant naturally may be very important, since many couples and individuals who are diagnosed with infertility may be able to get pregnant without treatment (and hence should be defined as "subfertile" rather than "infertile").

How to get pregnant naturally-Your Cycle

When trying to get pregnant naturally, the most important factor is to understand the menstrual cycle and the timing of ovulation, which leads to the optimum chances of getting impregnated. Usually, ovulation occurs around the fourteenth day, and hence, to get pregnant naturally, a couple should have as much sexual intercourse as possible between the twelfth and the fifteenth day. Different women have slightly varying menstrual cycles. Hence, to improve the chances of becoming pregnant, it is imperative to study one's periods, and calculate exactly when one ovulates.

Determining the signs of ovulation.

To check for the right timings of ovulation, a woman can do one, or many, of the following things:

. Keep a calendar. Keeping a calendar to chart the days is an easy and effective method to determine the right time to have sexual intercourse.

. Keep a check on vaginal fluids. Mucus discharge from the vagina usually becomes heavier, thinner, clearer and stretchy during ovulation when compared to the usual times.

. Feel the inside of the vagina. During ovulation, the cervix is softer and slightly more open than usual.

. Keep tabs on any sharp pain in the abdomen. Sharp pains in the abdomen, or some slight spotting, may be indicative of ovulation.

. Other physical conditions. Headaches, bloating, breast tenderness and pain may be signs of ovulation.

Having checked for ovulation, there are some other things that an individual can do to increase the chances of getting pregnant naturally. These include lying still for a while after having sexual intercourse, avoiding the bathroom for about thirty minutes after having sexual intercourse, and most importantly, figuring out how many times one should have sexual intercourse.

How to get pregnant naturally-The Man's Part

Men often neglect their own part to play in this whole scenario. The sperms need to be of the correct constitution, correct shape and correct motility too, or else, however fertile the women may be, impregnation does not occur naturally. A way of ensuring that the sperms are undamaged is by wearing boxers instead of briefs. Boxers help in keeping the testicles from overheating and damaging sperms.

For both women and men, the anatomical and hormonal factors are not the only ones to be monitored and corrected. In most cases, failure to conceive may result from an improper diet, undue stress, the use of drugs like alcohol and nicotine, and even environmental factors such as proximity to harmful doses of pesticides. Abstinence from such factors goes a long way in ensuring a pregnancy.

One should always keep in mind that the holistic approach to solving a problem is the optimal way to tackle infertility. Getting regular health checkups, taking supplements to combat existing problem, exercising and stress reduction techniques are only part of the holistic solution to infertility which considers the problem as part of a whole unlike the conventional approach which tackles a specific body organ in its attempt to heal. The holistic approach is not only a surefire way to increase your chances of conception it also guarantees a safe and healthy pregnancy.
